This dreaming bigger took me by surprise.
It shouldn't have. My dear friend Macy Robison warned me that magical things happen at Alt Summit. But sometime cynic that I am, I didn't quite believe her. I would go, speak about assembling an Advisory Board (aka dare to dream team), and then see what I would see.
A few instructional highlights were:
Alison Faulkner taught a class on how to edit video in iMovie — a skill I will need in order produce/direct a documentary.
Then there were the conversations I had with dear friends, old and new. The dreams I've decided I wanted to date, that may actually want to date me. The ideas that alighted on my mind and heart, the doors of possibility that opened.
Mind whirring…heart happy.
Thank you dear Alt!
Have you had an experience recently at an event or even a conversation that took your mind and heart by surprise?
P.S. If you want to get more of a feel for Alt Summit, here is a post by one of my new friends Mara Kofoed.
P.P.S. Alt Summit is of the best produced conferences I've ever been to. Props to co-founder Sara Urquhart for bringing on sponsors who were much more than names on a banner. They were integral to the experience. There not just to sell, but to collaborate and partner.
P.P.P.S. I do have one regret — I didn't hear Karen Walrond (@chookooloonks) speak. She was apparently fabulously inspiring.
